Customer Onboarding at EFI ALCHEMY
EFI ALCHEMY operates under a structured onboarding process designed to protect vehicles, customers, and outcomes.
All services — whether in-vehicle, off-vehicle, retail, or commercial — begin with documentation, authorization, and assessment.
Start With an Initial Assessment
Most vehicles entering EFI ALCHEMY begin with an Initial Vehicle Assessment (IAA).
The Initial Assessment:
-
Evaluates material and mechanical condition.
-
Determines system readiness.
-
Identifies safety or compatibility concerns.
-
Establishes whether calibration or further work is appropriate.
Not every vehicle proceeds beyond this stage. This determination is intentional and protects the vehicle and the customer.
Authorization & Documentation
EFI ALCHEMY uses electronic authorization for all services.
Each service item is placed into one of three states:
-
Authorized
-
Not Authorized
-
Declined
No work proceeds without authorization.
Verbal requests, assumptions, or informal approvals are not accepted.
All work performed is documented.
Calibration Services
(In-Vehicle & Off-Vehicle)
Calibration services at EFI ALCHEMY are not limited to in-vehicle powertrain control modules (PCMs).
Authorized calibration services may include:
-
In-vehicle electronic calibration.
-
Off-vehicle electronic services such as bench flashing, controller unlocking, or preparation.
-
Remote electronic calibration activities when supported and authorized.
Off-vehicle and remote services follow the same documentation, authorization, and quality standards as in-vehicle calibration services.
Commercial Customers
EFI ALCHEMY works with both individual customers and Commercial Customers, including builders, installers, repair facilities, and other professionals delivering vehicles or electronic components as part of a broader workflow.
Commercial Customers:
-
Follow the same Initial Assessment and authorization process.
-
Do not bypass readiness, documentation, or calibration standards.
-
Do not provide direction directly to production or calibration personnel.
All communication, scope, and authorization are managed through Administration.
Testing, Dyno Operation & Risk Disclosure
Vehicle testing, including street testing and chassis dynamometer operation, involves inherent risk.
Vehicles may experience mechanical failure during or after testing, including catastrophic failure.
Testing activities may be documented through data logging and video recording for verification and safety purposes.
By authorizing testing services, the customer acknowledges and accepts these risks.
No Implied Warranty
Unless expressly stated on the work order or invoice:
-
EFI ALCHEMY makes no warranties, expressed or implied.
-
Calibration outcomes are not guaranteed.
-
Repair and overhaul actions do not carry an implied warranty.
EFI ALCHEMY is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or failures outside the authorized scope of work.
What to Expect
Customers can expect:
-
Clear communication.
-
Documented scope and authorization.
-
Professional handling of vehicles and components.
-
A process-driven approach rather than assumptions or shortcuts.
EFI ALCHEMY may recommend deferral, repair, or non-proceed based on assessment results.
