The EFI ALCHEMY Process
Every vehicle we work on follows a defined process designed to protect the vehicle, the customer, and the outcome.
Not every vehicle proceeds to calibration — by design.
1. Induction & Initial Assessment (IAA)
All vehicles begin with an Initial Assessment. This step evaluates mechanical condition, system readiness, and calibration suitability.
-
Vehicle induction
-
Baseline diagnostics
-
Safety and material condition checks
-
Readiness determination
2. Repair, Preparation, or Deferral
Some vehicles require repair, overhaul, or break-in before calibration can proceed.
-
Repair or overhaul only
-
Deferred or partial calibration
-
Proceed to Basic Calibration
Repair actions do not imply warranty unless expressly stated on the work order.
3. Basic Calibration
Basic Calibration establishes correct foundational operation and is required before any advanced work.
-
Software licensing and unlocking
-
Base air, fuel, and spark setup
-
Fuel system characterization
-
Idle and drivability alignment
4. Advanced Calibration & Verification
Advanced Calibration verifies the calibration through approved procedures when the vehicle is ready.
-
Street or chassis dynamometer verification
-
Data review
-
Controlled operating conditions
5. Documentation & Closure
All work is documented and authorized electronically. Nothing proceeds without approval. Nothing is implied.
